Bioasturias has signed an agreement with Vaciero, a firm specialised in legal and financial advisory services, with the aim of expanding the services it makes available to its member companies and entities.
The collaboration was formalised by Pablo Fanjul, President of Bioasturias, and Marino Zapatero, General Manager of Vaciero. Also present at the signing ceremony were Mateo Tuñón, Manager of Bioasturias; and Leticia del Estal, Partner in the Commercial Law area, and Marta Tuñón, Associate in Business Innovation Consultancy, on behalf of Vaciero.
This agreement responds to Bioasturias’ commitment to offering specialised, high-value tools and services that contribute to the development of projects in the biotechnology sector and address the needs of its member companies and entities.
In this way, they will be able to access the knowledge and experience of Vaciero’s professionals. Among the most common areas of consultation are the drafting of shareholders’ agreements and other commercial agreements, the search for public or private financing, the design of financial plans, the preparation of investment rounds and support in negotiations with investors, company valuations and advice on corporate transactions — key aspects for driving the development and consolidation of innovative projects.
In addition, the agreement includes the joint organisation of activities and other initiatives to address legal, economic-financial and audit-related matters, as well as the promotion of R&D&I, bringing companies information on practical aspects that are strategic for their activity.
As Pablo Fanjul Bolado, President of Bioasturias, points out: “Our aim is to continue offering members services that bring real value to their activity. This collaboration with Vaciero enables us to strengthen the support we provide to companies in key areas for their growth and competitiveness.”
For his part, Marino Zapatero, General Manager of Vaciero, highlights that: “Biotechnology companies face challenges that go far beyond those specific to their sector and research: project financing, shareholders’ agreements, contracts with clients, suppliers and partners, tax optimisation of their R&D&I efforts… They need advisory services to transform knowledge into solid business projects. For Vaciero, it is a satisfaction to contribute to the development of a strategic sector for Asturias.”
With this initiative, Bioasturias and Vaciero consolidate their collaboration and reinforce their commitment to the growth of the Asturian biotechnology ecosystem, providing member companies and entities with access to specialised advisory services and promoting spaces to share knowledge, identify opportunities and address the challenges of the sector.
