Abel Fernández has on more than 10 years of experience giving advice to businesses in relation to state aid management, tax optimization and operating performance of technological and innovation activities of businesses, thus collaborating likewise in Open Innovation (Corporate & Start-ups).
Before joining Vaciero, Abel Fernández developed his professional career at different multinational consulting companies, where he worked as Partnership Manager, liaising with the private and public entities that participated in the Spanish innovating ecosystem, for the purposes of reaching collaboration agreements and generating consortia for R&D activities.
Likewise, Abel was a National Grants Manager in charge of finding new partners to start high level consortia, and of managing them together with the consulting team. He would also support the assessment, strategy and definition of new proposals likely to be financed thanks to national calls. He is a well-known expert in Metal Sector, Automotive and Renewable Energy projects.
He is a Technical Industrial Engineer by the University of Oviedo. He is a regular speaker at lectures, talks and seminars to disseminate business innovation in its broader sense. He is also an Ambassador of the non-profit organization Knowcosters, to promote a transformative consumption.
The area also counts on technical experts, staff and external, to identify and manage projects. Each of them is allocated to projects based on his expertise and the technology or sector of the activity of the client.
Vaciero is constantly in contact with public and private research centres for the purposes of meeting the technological needs of our clients and defining such collaborations in public lines of financing.
