Before joining Vaciero as a Tax Partner, Alberto Bermejo worked at Ferrovial Group for 20 years as Global Head of Tax & Transfer Pricing, a leading global group in transport and energy infrastructure, construction and services, actively participating in the international expansion of the group, from the offices in Madrid and Austin (Texas).
Prior to joining Ferrovial, he began his professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he specialised in Spanish and international taxation and transfer pricing, working in the Madrid and New York offices.
His professional career has provided him with extensive experience in the development and implementation of national and international tax strategies, participation in organic and inorganic corporate transactions and in asset management, compliance and risk management for both classic tax and transfer pricing.
He has developed corporate transactions (mergers and acquisitions), optimisation of tax structures, tax advice in a broad sense, financing and refinancing transactions, management of tax audits and coordination of teams in different countries, including Spain, USA, UK, Poland, Canada and Australia. He has actively worked with industrial partners and sophisticated financial investors (private equity, sovereign wealth funds, ...) as competitors and as partners.
Alberto Bermejo is a member of the Madrid Bar Association, holds a law degree from the University of Alcalá and a number of diplomas from the Luis Vives -CEU, New York University, Esade, ICADE and an Executive MBA from IE Business School. He has participated in different courses as a lecturer and in conferences both in Spain and internationally.
