Diego Méndez-Laiz counts on more than 15 years of experience providing advice to companies in annual account audit, as well as in relation to other accounting and audit-related matters (financial statement consolidation, expert reports, valuations, etc.)
He is credited for his vast experience in planning, coordinating and implementing financial statement audits prepared according to national and international standards, both of companies and national or international consolidated groups.
He has a 5-year degree in Economics by the University of Oviedo and a Master in Tax Advice by the Official Association of Economists of Asturias. Diego Méndez-Laiz is an accounting auditor and a member of the Official Registry of Accounting Auditors (ROAC) and of the Registry of Accounting Experts (ICJCE). Likewise, he completed an Expert Course on Accountancy and Accounting Audit by the University Pontifica of Salamanca.
Before joining Vaciero, Diego Méndez-Laiz worked at Moore Stephens Fidelitas Auditores, S.L, an audit and consulting firm, for more than 13 years, where he was promoted to an Auditor Partner position. He was promoted to Audit Partner of Vaciero in June 2020.
